i know a little something about ballistics.

while the projectile may be free of sh*t, it is permanently identifiable by scarring.

how insightful of you not to deplete the ammo.

a basic concept i was taught as a nuclear security officer was that only the amount of force needed to neutralize a threat and secure one's resources is authorized and/or recommended.

i know for me, dealing with a situation and only using a minimal amount of my energy (i've only had so much to draw upon in the last couple of years) not only leaves more for me more to work with later, it also provides the wisdom of past experience in figuring out what do to in the next thing that arises.

i'm also learning that overkill is truly not a good thing.

Dearest sweet Pat, I can relate totally to where you are coming from and the fragmentation that you feel, the sorrow , but at the same time the joy of knowing who you are, what you are and that you are a beautiful soul. Sometimes people grow mean in their ways, they are spiritually mean, and they have tried to wring you dry, but you know better than that....that will never happen to you, better to close the door and keep your own council, to thine own self be true, which you are. My heart goes out to you, for the sorrow you are feeling..........for the lack of nurturing and the cruelty of words towards you...........and this is from blood......well I had the same treatment when I was young......but at least we werent related.......LOL.........you take care Patrick and do what you have to do..............

funny thing about four lettered spaces and footings:

you can never be sure of the meaning of either.

my experience working for a linguist has shown me that words have many meanings to many people, depending upon time, geographic locale, or context.

footing can appear the same on both the ascension and descention, but lead to very different places and outcomes.

either way, i find being on the journey is paramount, and that the surety of my footing in all journies has changed like the shifting of winds at times.

LMFAO!!!! Jeez I love your stories Pat............so ya ended up washing the damn car too............well thats Karma for ya and it always ends up biting you in the ass.........I've been all bent outta shape this morning over my son and I swear if I rattle-snake bit me I'd bite it right back.............I've been to the dancing field to yell my lungs out at whoever in the f***ing great cosmos wants to listen..............LOL........next is a letter to my son, is he even gonna get it.........he's the closest things to me as I know, and he sure knows how to push all my buttons......but once they're pushed he needs to stay well clear of me....LOL...Dragon lady isnt even close!!! I'll get calmed down soon, I'll make spaghetti bolognese for later when Bathmate does or doesnt arrive............then I'll calmly put pen to paper........and rip his heart out LMAO...................something just snapped and now things have to sorted before he comes home.............ya know maybe I'll try to make dye from flowers, do something that will focus my mind on something creative............or maybe I'll just write that letter!!!! when i read this, i recognized something. but i don't know from when, or where, or what life, but it felt familiar and tantalizing at the same time.

i found this so calming i think my blood pressure actually dropped.

interesting.

being a christian man i resist the urge to run from some of the words you use. christians have been getting a bad reputation from many who do very "un-christian" things in the name of christianity. hypocrisy apparently doesn't discriminate. jesus was actually a very cool and loving man. words that i can also use to describe you, my friend.

knowing you as i do, which becomes more each day, i am glad to say you practice what you preach, and that i am a better man for it.

can i tell you that i remember our beginning like this:

like a young child, waking early on christmas morning and rushing downstairs to see what santa has left, just knowing i've been a good boy.

kneeling in front of the tree, i pick up this uniquely wrapped and beautiful gift, and my heart begins to beat faster and faster as i quickly remove the giftwrap. i am almost hesitant to do this because i am distracted by how gorgeous the outside of the package is. as the paper falls to the floor, i have to catch my breath, because in my hands is the one thing that i have always wanted and thought was too good for me to have. in that moment, i know my mommy and daddy must really love me, 'cause i never even told them how much i wanted this, and somehow their love for me showed them the one thing that would truly make me happy on christmas morning.

gosh, i'm a dork.

even officers have warm fuzzies. those who serve and protect are often misunderstood and do what they do because deep down inside they really care about more than their hardened exteriors could possibly allow them to show.

you're a rare gem, and something that never ceases to take my breath away, is the fact that you are even more beautiful inside than out. and, you sir, are a stunning man.

of course, that's just my humble opinion.

Thankyou so much for your comment, I never really think I havea writing ability although I have had poems published.....and have written a script but it was turned down because it was"too wacky" LOL........I also paint and draw in pastels..........because it calms me down......!! As for your question, I'm a capricorn, cusp Aquarian...chinese sign of the snake.......so more mad than organised, and more spiritual than slithery! What sign are you? I also love the way you write,I can almost breathe every sentence.....I visualise all the characters.......wonderful....I also love animals......prefer them to people usually, far more honest!!

sounds as though you've been through a difficult time. while your style of writing is so entertaining, i detect some hurt and disappointment.
